Fun/Funky String Type Materials for Adding to Throw Pillows?

Fabric processing
Bridget E asked:

Im in the process of making my own throw pillows but I wanna do some kind of Macrame design to put on them.

I’ve seen some stuff at WalMart that was fuzzy & string like. I think it’d look pretty cool on the throw pillows. Dont know what it’s called,
But would it be strong enough to do Macrame w/ & then sew to the throw pillow?
Or use it for Macrame & then use some type of stitch to sew it to thin strips of fabric which would then be sewn to the pillow?
Or is there any other types of string or rope that would work better & still look Fun/Funky?

Thanks.

I think what you are talking about at W.M. would be strong enough..there won’t be any weight that it has to hold or anything. Did you see the cool trim they also have at W.M.? There is some pretty neat looking stuff that is kinda’ fringed looking and has beads on it, etc. That would be really cool to just sew around your 4 edges! I like to do every pillow different..but with the same materials/trims:) You can make some more “fancy” than others, then just mix them all in together and it looks good~all the trims and tassels, etc. get expensive~so I make a few “plainer” ones too:)
    Good Luck!!!
