Lori Z asked: I bought a home and am in the process of adding my own touches. However, I have found that the room I am working on has an issue. The former owner cut out fabric and glued (?) it to the closet doors. The doors are painted and I’m afraid that if I pull the fabric off, the paint will be pulled and ruin the closet doors. It doesn’t look like I can paint over it without still seeing the outline of the pattern. Does anyone have any ideas how to get the fabric off without ruining the doors?

Kathryn asked: I am making 4 very large curtains for my child’s school auditorium. The fabric must be fire resistant, not too heavy for a home sewing machine, and pretty as well.
I should mention that these are for the windows. One is 27 x 10, another is 31 x 10 and 2 15 x 10’s. The stage curtain will be a 22oz IFR Velour that we would like to compliment. The Arch. on the job is worrying about dust settling in the nap.

thenameisthesame asked: I recently purchased a La-Z-Boy dual reclining loveseat. I noticed that the seat on the left sticks out about an inch more than the one on the right. I think that in the manufacturing process, the fabric on the seat on the right was sewn a little tigher than the seat on the left. It’s not very obvious and both seats are just comfortable. I didn’t notice this “defect” until about 3 weeks after I had it. Should I call the store and have them come look at it or is this something that is an acceptable variation?

Bridget E asked: Im in the process of making my own throw pillows but I wanna do some kind of Macrame design to put on them.
I’ve seen some stuff at WalMart that was fuzzy & string like. I think it’d look pretty cool on the throw pillows. Dont know what it’s called,
But would it be strong enough to do Macrame w/ & then sew to the throw pillow?
Or use it for Macrame & then use some type of stitch to sew it to thin strips of fabric which would then be sewn to the pillow?
Or is there any other types of string or rope that would work better & still look Fun/Funky?
Thanks.
Sheila
